📸 𝗠𝘆 #𝗘𝗨𝗥𝗢𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 📸 🎬 Meet Adrienne Lerner, our venue sustainability manager in Frankfurt! Her regular job is working on commercial and broadcast operations, but during EURO, she is part of a sustainability team deployed across all 10 venues and in charge of 60 volunteers taking care of sustainability matters such as accessibility, human rights and the environment. 💼 Her typical EURO day consists of: - Daily meetings: where all the project leads share key updates and prepare upcoming matches. - Volunteers briefing: making sure that volunteers are prepared to assist wheelchair users and fans with low mobility to ensure they access the stadium and their seats easily and have an enjoyable experience at the match. - Audio descriptive commentary: ADC is accessible at all matches via the EURO app, and each matchday Adrienne ensures the commentators can access their positions and have no technical issues with their broadcast. - No food waste: Following the match, the caterers at the venue bring leftover food from hospitality, the staff bistro, and concessions to a cooling container, where it stays overnight until a food-saving organisation picks it up the next day. In Frankfurt, we’ve saved more than one tonne of food! - Rapid Response Mechanism: Together with the awareness team, Adrienne ensures that the rapid response mechanism for people who feel unsafe and need immediate help is activated and the safe space is arranged. 👏 Thank you, Adrienne and the volunteers for helping us make the beautiful game accessible to everyone and for working hard to help us reduce our environmental footprint! #Sustainability #Humanrights #environment #Frankfurt

💡 Did you know? Muscle injuries, especially hamstring injuries, are the most common injuries at both men’s and women’s elite levels. Hamstring injuries occur during high-intensity actions and reflect the high-speed actions of modern elite-level football. 🔍 We've conducted a study to find out what were the highest risk factors for these kind of injuries. Findings show that the lack of communication between medical staff, coaching staff and load on players was one of the most important factors. 🏅 Thank you to the prestigious KSSTA Journal for awarding us the Best Paper Award for 2022-23! This time, we asked some of our colleagues to illustrate their EURO experience with five pictures showing how they work. 🇧🇪 Meet Kevin Yalale-Matufueni! His usual job is working for the UEFA Academy, but this summer, he is working as a Guest Liaison Officer in Hamburg for the whole tournament. 💼 His work entails: • Ensuring and delivering services to UEFA top VIP guests at the stadium; • Supporting guest management operations, venue set-up, tickets and more; • Coordinating the protocol meetings with the VIP Venue Management team; • Briefing volunteers and guest hosts; • Ensuring operations are prepared according to UEFA standards; • Managing seating, handling meet & greet of top guests; • Troubleshooting when and where needed; 👏 Thank you for sharing your journey with us and good luck for the rest of your #EURO2024 adventure Kevin! #Unitedbyfootball #Hamburg #Workinfootball
