    Opportunity: Chair, Classification Appeal Board – Expression of Interest 2024 🔍 The role: The Classification unit of the Public Service Commission is seeking experienced arbitrators to serve as Chair of the Yukon government’s Classification Appeal Board. As the Chair, you will arbitrate disputes over the classification ratings of positions between Yukon government employees and the employer. 💡 Responsibilities: - Hear and decide on classification disputes between the employer and employees, sometimes represented by their union. - Use a point factor rating plan in making decisions. ✅ Requirements: - Deep knowledge of administrative law and principles of natural justice. - Experience in arbitration, preferably in a Canadian northern context. - Copies of 2 to 3 decisions that you have authored. - A statement disclosing any actual or perceived conflicts of interest concerning this position.
