The Forest Enhancement Society of BC welcomes applications to fund forest enhancement projects year-round. Projects to receive funding are those whose primary goal is wildfire risk reduction, enhanced wood fibre utilization, or both, while also achieving additional benefits such as wildlife habitat enhancement, the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from utilizing wood fibre, improving recreational opportunities, and rehabilitating forests. Are you interested in applying? FESBC is holding an information session for proponents on June 25. Click the link below to learn more and sign up for the session.

It's been a great week focused on bioheat at Canadian Biomass, and we wrap up with a look at the award-winning project in Fort Simpson, N.W.T. It involved the installation of biomass heating systems in two of the village’s main municipal infrastructure buildings, including a swimming pool and fitness center, which were connected to a district biomass heating plant run by the territorial government. Additionally, an entirely new system was set up for their water treatment plant. Thanks to our 2024 Sponsors for making this focus week possible: Fink Machine Inc.; Wood Pellet Association of Canada; BSB; KMW Energy Group; and Schmid AG energy solutions. https://lnkd.in/gTRZ_sNs #Biomass #Bioheat #BioHeatWeek
