It was good to get out of the rain
In the desert, you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain

Ah yes, my favorite indie project, Untitled LEGO Set

By in Australia,

Oh yeah, Cactus Canyon. I loved these pack sets, but they were never available in Australia. Pretty expensive on the second-hand market, but worth it.

Something about '90s Lego is just so right.

I think it has a lot to do with the art style. Such basic sets can look so epic with the right background & staging.

FINALLY! I now know where I got that bird and minifig from.

Testing his ham radio before the UFOs showed up to nab him?

It is part of the 1720 Cactus Canyon Value Set. It come with a 4wd set and a kayak set. I imported mine from the USA when it came out.

Weird...we have a bunch of parts that refuse to be photgraphed/pictured, and sets that refuse to be I.D.ed...:|

Wait, you’re telling me this -isn’t- part of the Outback subtheme? Despite the fact that he seems to be stood in front of Uluru?

Having drawn all parts we can now summon the complete 'Cactus Canyon' and instantly win!
You're going to the shadow realm!

90s sets were a special, nostalgic thing. Especially with hindsight!

You are nameless, formless- you have no power here!!

Unnamed, just like the boxes of many sets outside of North America, where the set name and piece count are not printed on the box for many themes.

Even catalogs back in the day, especially the smaller ones , didn't have set names for a while, just numbers and perhaps a brick/star icon to show it's new that year.

Looks kinda like a non-coastguard version of my first town set, 6518. Same wheels, same mudguards, same one-plate body, same clips on the back for tools, same colour. Even the driver has the same sunglasses, cap and radio. There's enough differences that they're not a complete match (most notably the steering), but in-universe I'd reckon that they were different models from the same manufacturer.

Guess this guy liked his personal use ATV so much that he insisted on getting a similar one for work, too.

A set full of SWAIN-technology!

The SUV from this value pack is one of my favorite designs. It's just so perfect.

The first thing I met was a fly with a buzz
And the sky with no clouds
The heat was hot and the ground was dry
But the air was full of sound

I've been through the desert on a on an ATV named (Unnamed)
It felt good to be out of the rain
In the desert you can't remember your name
'Cause there ain't no one for to give you no pain

You must not know about the Nameless One from Legend of the Five Rings.

Guessing an appropriate name might be: Desert ATV.

That simple.

The offroad cart that shall not be named!!!!

By in Australia,

Maybe this ATV is like some families I know. There were so many children the parents couldn't think of any more names!

I think I've mentioned it on of of the other components of 1720, but it was my first Town set (not Freestyle or Fabuland) and as un-uniformed--i.e. blank slate--Town figs, they loomed large in my early LEGO years as malleable protagonists.

So malleable that after a childhood of calling the fig here "Carson," I renamed her "Carla" to prove a point about how there's not really any good clues to the fig's gender.

My brother hated me retconning our lore like that.
