They're CG in the movies, and they're CG on the packaging, too!

Reminds me of the 7111. That one had a swivel function but I think I could only get it to go about 80 or 85 degrees for it to take its standing form. I’m guessing this one is static.

@MeisterDad: I had to look up the instructions to refresh my memory, but while the wings/legs don't move relative to the body, the head is articulated, so you can put it in a walking pose that, frankly, is arguably truer to the source material than the one on 7111.

I always loved Vulture Droids. The idea of giant sentient machines used for war was one of the cooler aspects of the Prequel Era for me. Sure you could have a Storm Trooper flying a TIE or a Clone Trooper driving a Turbo Tank, but stuff like the Hailfire Droid or Tank Droid being vehicles that drive themselves is so cool!

This actually looks good, not only that, if you don't like it it has pretty special pieces like 1x4 slopes, 1x2 grills and 2x modified pieces that can be used as hinges. Sweet deal...

Looks more like a digital drawing than a photograph if you ask me.

But it really doesn’t look like a vulture. Come to think of it, how did the Star Warsians know about vultures?

I believe it is vulture in function, not shape. Use the big guns to take out the command ships and some of the fighters, bad have these clean up the rest of the fighters like corpses. Happy thoughts.

I guess the same way they know about falcons.

@MeisterDad:
At the back of the head, you can see a 1x2 plate w/ bar on the end and a Battle Droid arm connected to it. It’s a very weak design, and doesn’t allow side-to-side articulation, but this is not minifig scale.

@TheOtherMike:
The legs are hinged to each other in the center, which doesn’t allow them to pose like they’re striding, but you can still sorta fake it by using this hinge point to change the distance between the legs.
