Where is the Jeremy Clarkson minifig?

It appears that there was a bit of a drought. The Instructions say there's only 10 studs of grain in that silo.

EDIT: Wait, I misinterpreted, there's 30. Still kind of light though. Where's the rest of the harvest?

Such a classic. Would love a remake.

It feels to me like such a recent set that statements like that give me pause, but you’re right; it’s totally time for a remake, given how the often the core audience for LEGO is completely refreshed.

:: withers into dust ::

That said, I do like my copy of this. I should rebuild it sometime.

By in Canada,

This was one of the sets my second son reallllly wanted, so when I managed to find one in a bulk lot I extracted it for us to build and enjoy together. Not to mention its…pivotal role in the Undercover game. It’s been years since this set was his favourite, but it remains a special one for me.

Technically, that was 63046, introduced in 2022. Has a ton of animals, but is inferior in every way to this one (partly because it's Juniors), and I think both the Disney and Friends range each got a farm set too that year.

This set is really cool. Man I wish I had it! Along with the five hundred other sets I wish I had.

By in Turkey,

This looks like a fun and functional set. I liked the smaller tractor build the best. Also, is that rat larger than the cat?

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Greeeeen baseplates are we want to see,
and that bluuue tractor's
really cool to me...
What?:D

Seriously (or reasonably so), I wonder where 'Farm' is in rotation with "City"...I mean, I do LIKE 'Space'; and Fire and Police are constants...next round 'Park/Mountain'?...

60346 had more and new animals but indeed the build is simple.

Cat's taking a subservient pose, and the rat's got the high ground with that pedestal. No wonder there isn't any grain on this farm.

I never got this set, having assumed the Holsteins (being *the* stereotypical cow) would show up in another one someday...

...and I'm still waiting

Agreeing with people saying this needs a remake. I feel like farm sets are something LEGO rarely does, at least to the scale and scope of something like this.

I don't think they'd be quite so blatant about creating a New Holland tractor without the licence though, looking at the stickers on the tractor in this it's a bit too close to the real thing.

By in United States,

I was so excited when this came out that I leveraged a TRU BOGO to get an additional 2 to add to my first at RRP. I then tripled up my farm animals and doubled the size of the barn. I too thought we’d see more cows after this, the freight train, and the Medieval Market. LEGO makes some curious decisions just lije they did with the Mill Village Raid goat. I was so excited for the 2022 farm, even though it was 4+, but goodness gracious was it expensive.

…unless it’s a farm!”

It looks like there is a man called Jeremy Clarkson, who has some TV programs.
One of them is about a farm, and this is why a person with a nickname R1_Drift added this comment.

Maybe I am not the only one, who didn't know that, so it is helpful to others.

So, thats where the huge tan pieces come from. I have some of those from a bulk lot, and wondered where they came from.

By in Norway,

Incredibly studless for a 2009 set.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Man, this was a good farm. Just don't 'buy the farm'. Not at those aftermarket prices...

I too wish Lego woud revisit something like this again. A few years ago we got something similar but there was no actual farm beside the 4Plus set.

I doubt this set will eer be topped however. Because BASEPLATES!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

I was indifferent towards and about the goats, but my thin tolerance has been tanked by the ridiculous memes.

This cow however - dang, man. I would love to get a reissue of the Holstein. I dunno, maybe make a Holstein Minotaur while we're at it? A Holsteinotaur.

Gravatar
By in United States,

These cows are just as rare as the goats.

Except Brickforge already had cows years before the LEGO version, so there has been a way to scratch that itch if you don’t mind 3rd Party elements. The goats, they were about to commission a mold for, when someone inside the company warned them off, only for 7189 to be the sole source for over 12 years.

The way the original owner explained it to me, as long as they paid the mold off before TLG began competing with them, they could stay profitable on that item. If they were still underwater on the mold, official alternatives would cut their sales down to the point where they’d basically end up taking a loss on the mold. So, once the threat of goats returning was out there, they couldn’t risk adding them to the lineup.

Great. Now the Green Acres theme song is gonna be stuck in my head all week. (If ever there was a song prefect for Govt. torture chambers, that'd be it. Five minutes of that and I'd tell you things I didn't even know! Ten minutes and my mind will be broken into a million pieces.)

i would be more concerned about John Deere being sensitive about that kind of thing, in light of the other crappy things they've done."

That is true, though I don't think LEGO do non-JD green tractors at the minute? I don't really recall any. The Claas tractors are a different shade of green so I'm not counting them.

By in United States,

This set seemed spendy at the time. The buildings were sparse, and the piece count was fairly low. But it had Holstein cows, so I got it. That turned out to be a good decision.

By the way an amazing set!!!

By in Australia,

An awesome set. I recall it on shelves and won the Combine Harvester from this wave in a Lego competition (2nd prize).

The most recent farm subtheme was a horrid joke. It was so bad, and the 'big' farm set that we'd all been waiting for was a crappy 4+ set with a stereotype American barn (according to Lego the United States is the only country in the world with agriculture...) a tractor that a 3 year old could build and some good animals.... but for $60 something which is very overpriced and clearly designed to get money out of fans just wanting farm animals that we never get.

I wonder why Lego doesnt make farm stuff often. There are plenty of farm toys (i.e the subject matter is popular), its something most countries have and also a theme that is (at least in my opinion) equally interesting to boys and girls.

There has been a combine harvester and truck and then a tractor under Great Vehicles but these are very pointless when there are no farm sets for them to go with.

Gravatar
By in United States,

If LEGO would just follow Playmobil in some of the themes it explores, I would be ecstatic. It just seems to be too many one and dones these days.

Gravatar
By in United States,

I don’t know how or why, but this set broke me out of my dark ages. My wife and daughter went away for the weekend so I went to Toys R Us where this was on clearance.
