By in Australia,

One of my first sets. Good selection of figs and I liked how the speeder could hinge in the middle to steer. Also just in general the posing of the fig on the speeder was neat.

I remember one of my friends got this set for his birthday. It wasn't one that interested me, but he seemed to enjoy it. I'm generally not a fan of battle packs that include pilots.

$12 (sigh).

Actually, I routinely find the battle packs at $12-15. So, I can't really complain about the new $20 price. Does anyone actually pay that?

This was a great Hoth battlepack. 2 of Vader's Fist, an officer, and a driver. Although, I actually like the current one even more.

Some people pay full price. Some poor suckers even paid the absurd $27 price for the 332nd battle pack. I don't understand it, but maybe they just have so much money they are able to throw it away. I am perpetually behind in picking up sets, and it makes it easier getting sets on discount.

It might depend on the area, I don't recall seeing any battle packs on sale in any local stores for me.

By in New Zealand,

The new one is much better in terms of the minifigures. But i like these builds better. And is that General Veers?

By in Canada,

Comes with a weapons rack and everything.

A most excellent remake in 2021.

Walmart, Target, and Amazon have them all currently around $15.

Costco clearance is the best. I got the Dark Trooper set last year for $12 a couple weeks before Xmas. I've been able to pick up a few damaged boxes of the new, current BPs from thrift stores for $10-12.

Oddly I have both this and the minifig of the day.

By in United States,

There was a LEGO Club Jr page advertising this set with a crossword puzzle included. I couldn’t guess any of it and had to consult my parents to help. They couldn’t get any of it, either, and said that the puzzle was something that belonged in LEGO Club Sr instead.

Hence the name, @Collector_Nonas

By in Spain,

Casually, today the set 75320 is on sale on Amazon Spain with a 35% discount, and it remains at €12.96...inflation is powerful in Lego.

Now that you mention it, so do I! I specifically bought the Master Wu Dragon for my son's birthday but this one came in a big Star Wars bulk bag I found in a thrift store.

Unless you were buying this to flesh out a single AT-AT crew, it really was a lousy battle pack, because you’d eventually end up with a pile of unneeded commanders. It’s kinda like the CMF Romans, where the Centurion was more common than the Legionary.

I sold one for $70 a few weeks ago. Two more to go. They are are good set. I wish I had bought more.

I always find Imperial Hoth stuff a bit weird because we never see all these bikes and stations on the ground in Empire Strikes Back, it's not until Echo Base is nearly abandoned and half destroyed before we see Imperial boots on the ground. There's AT-ATs and a few AT-STs, but that's really it, I don't remember seeing speederbikes. There's an E-Web canon being formed right as the Falcon takes off, but we never see the troops exit the AT-ATs, they're just suddenly in the base. The Rebels are the ones with troops on the ground the whole time. I guess there's a bunch of stuff that's all just out of frame.

By in Netherlands,

I own this one and absolutely LOVE it. I'm not an army builder, but as a standalone set you get the perfect variety of minifigs: a commander, specialist and two footsoldiers. And there's even a cute little base with turret and a good-looking vehicle. Everyone gets at least one weapon, and the officer even has macrobinoculars.
Not great to buy multiples of, but with one you have a complete squad.
And because I own the 2010 AT-AT (which due to chance is the only one I ever managed to afford) you double up the imperial forces of that set. Although they don't both fit you will have two AT-AT drivers and four snowtroopers! :D

In fact, that set has an identical quartet of figs, only the commander's face is swapped with a rebel trooper.

@MCLegoboy the speeder bikes are shown in a vehicle guide that shows them in racks inside the AT-AT. That's why there's been one in the first AT-AT, the 2020 edition and the UCS version. This battle pack is an expansion set for the much more elusive 2010 AT-AT.

My first Star Wars set; got it for my birthday in 2011!

By in Australia,

The counterpart to this one, the Hoth Rebel Trooper BP, was my first Star Wars set. Kind of wish I had this to go with it.

Speederbikes were inserted into the Special Edition of Empire, weren't they?

I feel like I’ve seen them somewhere, and that’s what makes the most sense. However, I got the limited edition releases that came with bonus discs that contain the original-original theatrical cuts, so I can’t remember the last time I watched the SE trilogy.

Not quite: the first battle packs were a few years earlier, 7655 and 7654 in 2007.

If they're in there, they're tiny and too hard to see without going frame by frame. Canonically, they probably were, but actually seen on screen, I'm going to say no.

By in United States,

One of the few Star Wars sets I own from between 2004 and 2017 that I got new during those years--I griped hard about the change to flesh-toned figs and Star Wars went to the backburner until I finally, belatedly watch TCW.

This set snuck in, I think, because even in those "dim ages," I was still a sucker for a battle-pack. These would have been my first Snowtroopers, if I have my mental timeline right, and I continue to prefer this version to the newer ones. And that AT-AT driver had one of my favourite Star Wars helmets of all--though I prefer to pair it with a dark bley or white head, rather than a peach one.
