Last year, Sky Media UK launched Search Behaviour Targeting, allowing brands, for the first time, to target TV audiences based on online search behaviours 📺. Following strong advertiser uptake, Sky Media has enhanced its partnership with Captify®, the leader in real time audiences and insights fuelled by search intelligence, offering even more granular and bespoke targeting for brands. With 1.5 billion UK searches tracked each month, the number of categories available for advertisers has more than doubled to eighteen off-the-shelf audiences, meaning greater targeting options and granularity. British Airways Holidays and The Ministry of Justice, in partnership with MG OMD and OmniGOV, were first to bring this new product to market as pilot partners.  The Ministry of Justice UK (MoJ) embraced Sky Media’s Search Behaviour Targeting to great success for their Prison Officer recruitment campaign. Using AdSmart from Sky enabled the MoJ to reach households that had been searching online for ‘Jobs’ and ‘Education’ in the last month, combined with regional targeting around key prison recruitment areas. Heineken's "Pub Museums": A Case Study in Creative and Experiential Marketing The HEINEKEN Company has launched a campaign in Ireland called 'Pub Museums' to showcase the value and importance of Irish pubs. The campaign, created by ad agencies LePub and Publicis Dublin, launched in April 2024. Each participating pub has been transformed into a virtual museum, featuring historical artifacts, audio guides, and souvenirs. Visitors can scan a QR code to discover pub history through augmented reality. The campaign uses indoor navigation, geolocation, and photogrammetry to create an immersive experience. The campaign aims to safeguard pubs for generations to come. Gaining recognition as an official museum would provide pubs with opportunities and resources usually reserved for other cultural landmarks. Heineken® is exploring how these pubs can apply for official museum accreditation via a national accreditation program. Stay tuned! Our very own Kaarel Oja will be presenting the findings of the IAB Baltics AdEx report, which is part of the comprehensive European report, the date will be announced shortly! The AdEx Benchmark Report, in its 18th year, is the go-to source for ad spend in Europe. Data from 29 countries, including the Baltics, provides a complete picture of the European market. This year, there's even more! The report includes quarterly data for the first time, offering a deeper look into the past three years of digital advertising growth. Here are some key highlights: Explosive Market Growth: The European digital ad market grew by an impressive 11.1% in 2023, surpassing the US growth rate of 7.3%! Top Performers: Major European markets like the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy make up 69% of the total ad spend. But wait, there's more! 13 European markets saw double-digit growth, with Turkey leading the pack at 50%, followed by Serbia (27.6%) and Ukraine (25.2%). ⏫ Fastest-Growing Formats: Social advertising is back with an 18.2% growth rate, while video advertising is booming at 20.9%! Audio formats are also on the rise with a 23.1% increase, with podcasts leading the charge at 32.5%. Connected TV (CTV) is even hotter than non-social video, growing by 23.5%.
