🚢🌊 We are delighted to announce that the factory trawler 𝘊𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘪ó𝘯 𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘈𝘵𝘭á𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘰 has returned from a successful sea trial.   After 11 months of dedicated work and significant upgrades at Westcon Yards AS in Florø (🇳🇴), this 38-year-old factory stern trawler is now equipped with state-of-the-art hybrid propulsion technology, featuring a powerful ABC 8DL36 main engine and an ABC 12DZC generating set. This will significantly reduce carbon emissions and fuel consumption with the efficient DL engine series. The engine package is delivered by our local agent Frydenbø Industri AS.   This 118-metre vessel has been delivered to Estremar and is now making its way to its base in Ushuaia, Argentina (🇦🇷). Eiffage, au travers de sa filiale Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, SPIE Nucléaire et Anglo Belgian Corporation viennent de signer avec EDF le marché pour la fourniture et l’installation des groupes électrogènes de secours diesel principaux des projets de six réacteurs nucléaires de type EPR2. En quelques chiffres : 📚 Études, qualification, fabrication, installation, essais et mise en service de 24 groupes électrogènes de secours diesel de 10 MWe ⚡ Six unités EPR2 regroupées par paire sur 3 sites 📅 Durée prévisionnelle de 17 ans pour la mise en œuvre du projet 👷♂️ Mobilisation de près de 350 personnes pour chacun des 3 chantiers 🤝 80 000 heures réservées à l'insertion professionnelle et à l'emploi de personnes en situation de handicap Après avoir remporté en novembre 2023 les travaux de génie civil des deux premiers réacteurs de type EPR2 de Penly, ce nouveau marché démontre la capacité d’Eiffage à conduire de grands projets qui s’inscrivent dans une démarche de décarbonation et de souveraineté énergétique de la France. Following the Combi Freighters (CF) and the CSOV vessels, this agreement facilitates future expansions of Damen-ABC engine installations to other ship types. 🚢⚙️   The agreement was signed during the second edition of the Climate Tech Forum in Antwerp, following the Economic Mission on Climate Technology to Belgium. 🌱🌍   Damen has the ambition to become the most sustainable maritime solution provider in the world.   In recent months, ABC has frequently been in the news with innovations that enable the transition from fossil fuels to alternative fuels such as hydrogen and methanol.
