Fiscal year 2012

Expenditures in dollars

In fiscal year 2012, California reported the highest total public education expenditures in the country, while North Dakota reported the lowest.

The table below displays this information and more for all fifty states and the District of Columbia. All dollar amounts displayed are in thousands, meaning that if the table displayed the amount "$4,000,000," it would translate to "$4,000,000,000."
