I am a retired teacher from Blount County Tennessee. I have worked tirelessly the past 7 years with grassroots groups that are working to keep the United States a democracy and advocate for the rights of women, safe gun legislation, protecting our environment and saving our public schools from the dangerous voucher scam. I own a small equestrian facility in Marvyille and I am the Vice Chair of the Blount County Democratic Party.

  • I am against school vouchers and believe that our tax dollars need to stay in our national treasures...public schools.
  • I am against all legislation that takes away the rights of women to get health care they need.
  • I am a gun owner and believe that our 2nd amendment right to own guns is valid. However the state of Tennessee has no sensible regulations to keep people safe from gun violence. That has to change. It is dangerous to live here in Tennessee.

A state senator can not only vote on bills but can write and bring them to the legislative body to vote on.

To work for the people in their districts not to gain personal wealth and power.

To honestly do what is best for the families in our state.

I helped keep kids safe from guns in schools by passing sensible gun laws

Teaching art at Boys and Girls Clubs of America for two years.

Beautiful Joe, a dog finds loving people to care for him

Not being able to help every child or animal in need.

Representing the people in my district so that they will have the opportunity to earn a living wage and send their kids to fully funded public schools etc. Protecting our TN families is my priority.

No, more normal citizens should run for office. If you care about TN and its people...you are of age, not a criminal....you should run for office

It is an absolute necessity. We currently have a too many people in office in TN, that are doing the bidding from out of state money or huge corporations. It needs to be more widely known how much money and pressure they receive.
