We tested the KeyGhost II Security Keyboard Professional SE ($399 direct) both embedded in a keyboard and in a dongle version. The features are similar to the KEYKatcher's, including a configurable password, search functions, and raw-data displays, but it has a few more formatting options. The 14-inch-long dongle has a PS/2 plug at each end. Although we prefer the KEYKatcher's smaller silhouette to the dongle version of the KeyGhost device, both KeyGhost products can hold a remarkable 2 million keystrokes in flash memory—equivalent to a months' worth of typing. The KeyGhost dongle was as easy to install as the KEYKatcher; the keyboard would require a bit more ingenuity to put in place covertly.
