This solid, low-priced offering is designed well for its target audience: kids. Although we wish there were more content (there are fewer than 25,000 articles), the mix of information, maps, time lines, and audio files on the two CD-ROMs feels right. From the fun, factoid-filled start page to the moderately useful homework wizards, World Book is a good starting point for kids.
