🚀 SANS will be hosting a Community Night in Korea on 6th August, Tuesday! SANS Instructor Christian V. will be presenting "Tools of the Trade: Passwords and Hashes". 🕖 18:00 – 19:00 pm (Registration) 19:00 - 20:30 (Presentation and Q&A) 🏢 4F, Education Center, 437 Dorimcheon-ro, Yeongdeungpo, Seoul (Subway Line#2, Guro Digital complex Station Exit#4, 3 mins) Abstract: Security practitioners should understand several security technologies to be adaptive to any security situation. One of these important concepts is the clear understanding of password attacks and hashes. A lot of the attacks today start with stolen passwords. In turn, many breaches today are made possible because of extracted hashes from compromised systems. Furthermore, cybercrime operations reuse these stolen passwords and hashes for further cybercrime activities. This presentation informs attendees of the common and yet the most effective attacks targeting Windows and Linux passwords and hashes and how defenders can prevent or detect these in their environments. Be sure to RSVP to secure your spot! https://lnkd.in/gYFNR_-T
