We are pleased to announce an extension of our partnership with Liverty Housing (formerly Summer Housing), with Conscious Investment Management's funds financing an additional 44 operational Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) dwellings. This transaction means that, in partnership with Liverty Housing, CIM has financed 116 SDA dwellings and 11 overnight support assistance dwellings. The new assets were financed by CIM’s dedicated SDA fund alongside a senior debt facility from the National Australia Bank (NAB). CIM financed assets are located across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia.   Established five years ago to scale housing projects developed by the Summer Foundation, Liverty Housing has consistently pioneered new models of supported disability accommodation, ensuring that individuals with disability have access to specially designed homes that promote independence and enhance quality of life. Applications for Conscious Investment Management’s 2024/25 Internship Program are now open!   We are looking for two motivated university students to join us in Sydney for six weeks over the 2024/25 Summer break as Investment Interns. The National Reconciliation Week theme for 2024, “Now More than Ever”, is a reminder that the fight for justice and the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will and must continue.   Conscious Investment Management acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and the fight for justice. We continue to urge government and policy makers to consult with First Nations peoples in the development of policies and programs that impact them.   We all have a role to play in reconciliation, and in playing our part we deeply value our partnership with Traditional Custodian groups through our carbon farming projects which aim to support economic empowerment, land ownership and restoration outcomes.   We are proud to work on the lands of the Gadigal and Wurundjeri people and are committed to embedding principles of reconciliation in our business via our Reconciliation Action Plan. Our second plan, our Innovate RAP, will launch later this year.   This week, we have had the privilege of spending time with Justin Djurandi learning symbols, stories and colours used in Nyungar art. It was a fun and interactive session that we would recommend for others looking to celebrate First Nations culture this NRW. We are proud to announce that the Conscious Investment Management (CIM) Impact Fund has financed a new investment supporting decarbonisation and perpetual biodiversity outcomes.   CIM has partnered with Greening Australia, an environmental not-for-profit to deliver biodiverse environmental planting projects across Australia. Earlier this week, we made our first investment alongside Greening Australia, with the Conscious Investment Management Impact Fund financing the acquisition of a 755-hectare property in Southern NSW, with plans to plant ~140,000 native trees and shrubs on the property in 2025.   Restoration of the property is designed to benefit several nationally listed woodland bird species and contribute to the recovery of the critically endangered Monaro Tableland Cool Temperate Grassy Woodland vegetation community.
