It’s always hard to say goodbye to a favorite restaurant. Here are the restaurants that announced they are closing or moving in June 2024.

Che Butter Jonez flagship restaurant leaving south Atlanta

One of Atlanta’s lauded restaurants, Che Butter Jonez by chef Malik Rhasaan and wife Detric Fox-Quinlan, announced on Instagram that the flagship location on Cleveland Avenue will be closing and moving to a new location in North Druid Hills in Brookhaven. The last day of the restaurant will be announced on their social media.

“It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve you all, and those of us who can’t get to us often, we will let you know how much longer you guys have us here at your spot,” reads the caption on the post. “But just know we have some cool things planned, and we’re excited!”

Kupcakerie moving Grant Park location

Bakery and cafe Kupcakerie announced on Instagram it is moving its Grant Park location from 717 Memorial Drive SE to East Point. The Grant Park location closed on June 24. The new shop hopes to open again in the fall. Kupcakerie is known for its many innovative cupcake flavors and specialty cakes.

Chef residency program to replace Dailies and Sides

Dailies and Sides at Pullman Yards is set to become Brick & Mortar, a chef residency program. The new restaurant will let diners vote on which up-and-coming chefs should take the helm in the kitchen. The idea is an extension of the popular Chefs Market and Bazaar at Pullman Yards, where more than 30 food vendors set up shop on Fridays and Saturdays. The market has given rise to pop-ups like Kamayan ATL and Zarate Kitchen. The first residency will debut on August 10, with voting underway now.
