I stayed here recently and it was a nice surprise how good it was. It felt very modern. When you walk inside the bar area is directly in front of you and there isn’t a traditional reception area as such, but there were a couple of friendly guys who looked like gym recruiters, dressed in T-shirts rather than the usual suits you see in other hotels. But, they were, in fact, the reception team. They were really friendly and extremely helpful when I asked about potential dinner options. The hotel looked good and felt pretty new and the decor in the halls was fun. The room was decent, maybe a bit on the small side, but it was clean with a kettle and teas/coffees. There’s a TV that you can hook up to your phone to watch your favourite channels, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom had a shower and a lit up mirror, with shower gel and shampoo provided. There’s loads of places to eat nearby - there’s literally a McDonald’s next door if you don’t actually like food but there’s some nicer places nearby including a pizzeria and another Italian restaurant. The breakfast in the hotel was absolutely fine - cereals, granola, muesli, some fruit and yoghurt plus cold meats and cheeses and traditional English fare of eggs, bacon, sausages, beans, etc…If you don’t fancy that, there’s a Pret and a Starbucks literally 10 paces away. Only issue you might have with this hotel is Canning Town is a bit far out of the centre, but I don’t mind travelling extra rather than having a shabby hotel in the west end. Liked it.

· The receptionist at the time 7pm on 06.07.24 was really amazing, really friendly, and approachable. Would love to come back and see her again. Wish I took your name! Really easy conversations with her, and she made us feel at ease when the previous hotel we originally booked was awful. Rooms were very clean and tidy at 804 on the 6th of July Saturday. Great amenities, a tidy coffee station, and no sign of dusty areas (very important to me as i have allergies and did not sneeze during my stay here). The bedding were made really nice with smooth lines. Very presentable! First thing you look when you enter the the room is the bed, so amazing job guys! Bathroom was very clean, I can't fault you guys!! Housekeepers were really nice and friendly again and proactively offered if we needed anything in the rooms on 07.07.24 at around 3 pm. Keep it up guys!🥰 Location is 10/10. Opposite the tube, next to maccies, cafe downstairs. Morrisons, superdrug and the chinese supermarket (was really great as one of main objectives was to stock up in London as wales doesn't have many asian supermarkets near us) is a 30 second walk away, literally around the corner. I will definitely come back again as it's so close to everything, clean, reliable, spacious, and easy to get into central.

Great hotel when visiting O2

Stayed here when going to the O2 to see the Killers. 1 stop on the tube to the O2 and as soon as you walk in you feel relaxed with its laid back reception and bar area. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great! Room great but the only criticism I have is that we had a twin room and the beds were narrow - we aren't petit ladies ha ha! Am sure we will return.

Excellent place to stay

Great place to stay, we had two nights here whilst seeing ABBA voyage. Hotel is directly opposite the train station and it’s really easy to get to the abba arena also having the train station opposite meant it was very handy for visiting all the London attractions. The hotel has a lovely bar very relaxing. The rooms are small but immaculate and have everything you could need. Comfortable bed and pillows and a great shower. Recommend staying for breakfast it was excellent. Will definitely return.

Fantastic Hotel!

My mother and I stayed at this hotel for one night on 7th June for her birthday, as we were going to see ABBA Voyage that evening. The Ibis Canning Town exceeded all our expectations! The location is fantastic, directly across the road from the tube station. It’s a very modern and hip hotel, extremely clean and the room we were allocated was very quiet even with our windows open. We ate lunch and breakfast at the hotel and the food was great with a good selection. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, from the reception staff, bar staff, cleaning staff and security. I especially want to give a special mention to CURTIS on reception, who really was just fantastic, a real ‘people person’ and so good at his job, such an asset to the Ibis Canning Town. I have stayed in London many times and all previous hotels have been good but this one is definitely top of my list. I will most certainly return and highly recommend!
