This was a great place to stay if you’re travelling to Budapest! On arrival, we were able to check in early and check in was easy and quick! Beds were very big and comfy. Room was clean and staff were accommodating. Breakfast was a typical continental, we did have to get creative to make a hearty breakfast. The area was near to bus stops and underground lines which made it easy to travel around Budapest during our visit. Plenty of storage space for clothing and cases also. Overall a great hotel to stay in whilst exploring Budapest with plenty to do around the area if you don’t want to travel out far from the hotel.

Disappointing Stay at ibis Budapest Heroes Square Our recent stay at ibis Budapest Heroes Square was quite disappointing and far from the standards we expected. Here are some of the key issues we faced: • Unprofessional Staff: The staff were unprofessional throughout our stay. The reception staff never smiled and were not welcoming. • False Advertising: There is an advert on the wall claiming that if there are any issues during your stay, the "smile team" will fix them within 15 minutes. This is simply not true. • Kettle Issue: The kettle in our room was not working. I had to go downstairs to request a new one and waited for nearly 20 minutes. Then, I had to go back to my room and bring down the broken kettle myself. • Room Cleanliness: The room was never cleaned properly. Dirty coffee cups remained in the room for days despite my complaints. On the fifth day, I left all the dirty cups (8 in total) and other items on top of my bed, hoping they would be taken away. They were finally removed, but no new cups or replenished tea and coffee were provided. • Soap Refill Delay: The soap in the shower was empty for six days before it was refilled. Although I had my own toiletries, this is the lowest standard I have ever seen within All Accor hotels. • Non-functional Amenities: The phone in the room did not work, and neither did the remote control for the TV. We eventually gave up trying to get these issues fixed and focused on enjoying our holiday despite the poor service. • Breakfast Quality: Breakfast was acceptable but had limited options. Sometimes, the food seemed recycled rather than fresh. • Language Barrier: The staff’s English proficiency was poor, and we often had to repeat our questions for them to understand. • Poor Treatment of Loyal Members: As an All Accor Gold Member, I expected better service. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had with such awful service, and I didn’t feel valued as a member. We did ask for a late check out 4 days prior to our departure, as it was available and as a Gold member I could request it, free of charge. I was told first that I needed to be charged for this. The reception team didn't even know what the different memberships entitles too. Then, they say that it was fine and that they were going to action it on the system. However, they didn't and although I re check with them, still no action on the system was done and eventually on the last day I was being called to leave the room, after which I really complaint and finally the let us check-out later. • No Follow-up for Feedback: I usually receive an email from the hotel to leave a review on the All Accor website. However, I never received this, which makes me think they avoided sending it to prevent negative feedback. We definitely won’t be staying at this hotel in the future. We hope our next stay in Prague will be a better experience with our All Accor booking. We do not recommend staying at ibis Heroes Square. Find another option.

Here goes... Situated in a fab place easy to get around from there, and if not walking, the tram stops outside or download BOLT as there are hundreds around. City Park, heroes square and the zoo are all within 15 mins walk. The hotel generally has what you need, but it's basic. We had room 425, windows face the side of the building. It was warm, with windows open the traffic on the road is very noisey from before 8am! Only found 2 English TV channels. Hot shower, hairdryer is on the wall and unless you have short hair isn't that effective, not great for styling. There is x1 container (2 in bathroom) for shampoo/soap/shower gel. Younger reception team are welcoming but we found older staff less interested in visitors. We didn't enjoy Breakfast. Biggest disappointment for us was no fridge and/or tea/coffee making facilities. It was expected that you'd buy from the hotel, it was inconvenient, expensive and little variety! There is a supermarket 2 mins walk away, but again no where to store or keep cold any purchases. They're is a luggage store for your return home bags, a car park if you're driving.

Welcoming and friendly reception staff. Room is decent sized but no amenities. Comfortable bed and clean linen. Bathroom good size (not too small), cleanliness was ok - found a pill in the bathroom from previous guest. Position of WC is in the corner so can be challenging for a tall person. Shower pressure is bad. Locking bathroom door is an another mission.

Very rude unhelpful reception staff. Paperwork said 2pm check in. Receptionist abruptly said it was wrong. She never checked to see if room was ready. Never mind, could we buy a coffee til 3pm. Answer no. Because she’d hurt her wrist & couldn’t make it! I kid you not. The reception staff seemed to have no knowledge of the city they lived in. Couldn’t help with taxis etc. very dismissive. There were other instances similar to this & we weren’t the only guests to find this. The reception & bar staff seemed only interested in sitting at a table & chatting. God forbid they actually had to get up & attend to a guest. In the four nights I stayed I never saw any supervision or management of reception staff, which could be the problem? Continental breakfast ample & staff in breakfast room helpful & pleasant. Room basic but clean. I doubt this hotel will be open long. Any management reading this?
