The Cannabis Policy Taxonomy provides an inventory and taxonomy of cannabis policies. It is organized into policy areas in nine broad categories. Researchers, especially those new to the cannabis policy field, can examine the taxonomy to gain an appreciation of the nature and scope of cannabis policies and the specific issues these policies address.

The Alcohol Policy Taxonomy provides an inventory and taxonomy of alcohol policies. It is organized into policy areas in nine broad categories, and cross-cutting dimensions such as: Demographic Groups; Beverage Types; Penalties, Liabilities, and Incentives; Special Jurisdictions; and Other Dimensions.

This section of the APIS website provides material from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Digest of State Alcohol-Highway Safety Related Legislation, which reports the status of State laws concerned with drunk driving offenses and alcoholic beverage control. The data cover 1988 through 2003, depending on the topic.
