    governing board is to establish the strategy for the principal and school management so as to provide the best education possible for every
    student at the school.
    All governing boards of private schools have four core functions:
    1. Setting strategic direction within the context of a clearly-stated vision and ethos;
    2. Holding the senior leadership team accountable for the achievement of strategy and running of the
    school;
    3. Overseeing the overall educational performance of the school and suggesting ways for improvement;
    4. Overseeing the financial performance of the school – this includes setting fees, budget oversight, and
    achieving financial targets.
    International research and school inspection results have shown that good school governance has a
    positive impact on school performance - where governance is good, standards of student attainment are
    likely to be higher. Conversely, poor governance is often cited as a reason why schools fail. This is
    reflected in Dubai and throughout all member countries of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and
    Development (OECD)

  • Modeling the capture probability and Enhancing the photoconductive gain in quantum-well infrared photodetectors (QWIPs)

    In this work consideration is given to the dynamics of carriers in the continuum/quantumwell systems and how this relates to the photoconductivegain of quantumwellinfraredphotodetectors. In particular the quantum mechanical scattering theory approach, taking into account e-LO phonon and e–e scattering is invoked to evaluate the captureprobability from the continuum into the quantumwells. In particular the quantum mechanical scattering theory approach, taking into account e-LO phonon and e–e scattering is invoked to evaluate the captureprobability from the continuum into the quantumwells. It is shown that the captureprobabilityPc is dependent on the quantumwell width. The captureprobability microscopic model is then utilized to introduce an additional tunnel barrier to disturb the continuum levels near the top of the quantumwell. This induction enabled us to investigate the double-barrier improvements in the photoconductivegain.

  • Responsivity of quantum well infrared photodetectors at terahertz detection wavelengths

    Journal of Applied Physics 91 (9): 5820-5825

    A first-principles model of the photocurrent in quantum well infrared photodetectors ~QWIPs! is
    derived. The model examines the responsivity, carrier capture probability and quantum efficiency. It
    is found that the QWIP sensitivity reaches a plateau below the 10 mm detection wavelength and
    remains nearly constant from 10 to 50 mm

It has been shown that at low temperatures the dark current can vary as λ4. Although your most important stakeholder, the patient's involvement is extremely limited. As trends change globally, the region seeks to align itself in embedding this into it's healthcare system. Reaching out to patients and gaining vital information helps you take better decisions. It improves consultancy time and generates better outcomes. If implemented cohesively it reduces cost and improves wellness. This can only be achieved when stakeholders engage with each other over a common platform. To connect them healthcare is now digital and engages continuously. IIR Middle East has therefore chosen the Healthcare Innovation Summit as a platform to understand and identify:

    - Where innovation is really needed
    - What benefit have others gained
    - Who should lead it
    - How it could be implemented within your institution

    I represented AHS in this important submit as we are moving towards more patient involvement through the patient portal that would be implemented by the end of 2014.

    I have led the Situational Analysis and Current State Assessment as part of the EHealth and Data Management Strategy development for the Supreme Council of Health Qatar. I have led a team of 4 resources in order to Develop Framework which is basd on the E-Health Maturity Assessment framework that originated from the Health Reference Domain Model established by the European National IT Institute for Healthcare. It was then customized to fit the healthcare IT requirements in Qatar with the help of the track leads in the team. This framework also was used to create the basis for the education and research analysis that part of my team conducted at universities, colleages and research institutes. I also worked with my team to identify and communicate with stakeholders who will participate in the situational analysis across the healthcare and education sector. We then conducted over 54 interviews with stakeholders in the Supreme Council of Health and across healthcare industry in Qatar. These interviews required a huge logistical effort to communicate with stakeholders, find out directions and ensure the commitment of the client to address the issues listed in the survey. After assembling the team, interviews were conducted on an average of 2.5 interviews per day starting the 4th of March and ending the 2nd of April. These interviews were essential to gather the information needed for this report. Further follow ups were required with many organizations and documentation was requested to assist with the finalization of information.·The validation of information required coordination between team members as well as stakeholders where initial findings were shared with the Steering Committee and Working Groups. Also, analytical tools were used to gather and study the responses to produce graphs. Finally compiling the situational assessment and gap analysis report to describe the findings and the approach.

    b. the preparation of training rooms in the diabetic centre and compubase. Training is split to have nursing and physicians in compubase training facility. The rest of the training has been planned and conducted in the diabetic centre.
    c. Work with ICAP…

    Worked with HHS to organise and plan Eend User training for Shiekh Khalifa hospital and Musharif clinic. The success of the end user training was built on the following aspects:
    a. training schedule for trainers, rooms and end users.
    b. the preparation of training rooms in the diabetic centre and compubase. Training is split to have nursing and physicians in compubase training facility. The rest of the training has been planned and conducted in the diabetic centre.
    c. Work with ICAP to manage the printing and distribution of training manuals.
    The end user training ran into challenges where I worked with my manager to allow Cerner subject matter experts support the end user training until the hospital trainees build confidence. This went well as client satisfaction was improving continuously.
    End user training covered all solutions and so far knowledge transfer has been over 60% complete.
