Under Armour co-founder KEVIN PLANKwho returned to the CEO position at his company this spring, received $4.6M in total compensation for FY2024, up from the $3M he received in FY2023 when he was exec chair and brand chief. The package includes a $500,000 salary and $4M in stock awards, as well as $127,220 “in non-equity incentive plan compensation.” The ultimate value of the stock awards “will be determined by how the company’s shares perform under his leadership” (WOMEN’S WEAR DAILY, 6/28).

PARTY TIME: Wasserman CEO CASEY WASSERMAN threw a "lavish 50th birthday bash" at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica this weekend that was attended by the likes of former President BILL CLINTON, Disney CEO BOB IGER, Patriots owner ROBERT KRAFT, Motion Picture & Television Fund BOD Chair JIM GIANOPULOS, California Gov. GAVIN NEWSOM, U.S. Sen. NANCY PELOSI (D-Calif.) and First Gentleman DOUG EMHOFF (Vice President KAMALA HARRIS canceled). The party also featured a musical set by IMAGINE DRAGONS and a parting gift of Nikes with a “CW 50” monogram (PUCK, 7/2).

YOU'VE BEEN SERVED: Former Jets employee JIM PONS is suing the team and the NFL for unspecified damages over the Jets’ use of a logo he designed. Pons in the suit alleges he “came up with the design in the late 70s” while he was working for the Jets as the team’s film and video dir. The suit asks for a judge to “cancel the Jets’ trademark of the logo,” and Pons “wants a ruling that prevents the football team from being able to use the design or sell merchandise with it on there without his consent or compensation.” The team said in a statement they “find this claim baseless and without merit” (N.Y. POST, 7/1)....Former TCU men’s golf coach BILL MONTIGEL filed an age discrimination lawsuit against the university, alleging that his contract “was not renewed in the spring of 2023 because he was 68.” Other allegations in the lawsuit include charges that AD JEREMIAH DONATI “was retaliatory against Montigel” and endorsed “an ‘Animal House’ atmosphere.” The lawsuit alleges Donati’s department “does not care about discrimination or sexual harassment” (FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 7/1).

NAMES: WNBA Chicago Sky F ANGEL REESE was named Sportswoman of the Year at the 2024 BET Awards. Reese was unable to accept the award in person but “thanked the network on social media” that evening (NBCSPORTSCHICAGO.com, 7/1)....The Nevada Supreme Court yesterday rejected former Raiders coach JON GRUDEN’s request for reconsideration of the ruling that ordered his claims against the NFL and Commissioner ROGER GOODELL to arbitration. Gruden’s "only remaining move is to ask the U.S. Supreme Court to take up the case” (NBCSPORTS.com, 7/1)....Pirates P TYLER CHATWOOD sold his Scottsdale home for $7,499,000. The 8,077-square-foot mansion is near the Ritz Carlton hotel and includes "five bedrooms and 5 ½ bathrooms, has 14-foot ceilings, an infinity-edge pool and a sunken firepit" (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 7/1)....Liberty National Golf Club -- co-founded by former Reebok founder, Chair & CEO PAUL FIREMAN and his son DAN, managing partner of Fireman Capital Partners -- has reached a multiyear partnership with the Veteran Golfers Association that will see, in addition to direct financial support, Liberty National host a recurring series of events to aid in fundraising efforts that will benefit the VGA (Liberty National).
