Tickets being 'snapped up' for A's final game in Oakland

A “sparse amount” of tickets remains available on the A’s official ticketing website through MLBRobert Edwards/USA TODAY NETWORK
Tickets are being “snapped up at a rapid pace” for the A’s final game at Oakland Coliseum against the Rangers on Sept. 26, according to Will Simonds of NBCSPORTSBAYAREA.com. Simonds wrote it is “clear that many fans are eager to attend the final contest at the ballpark.” A “sparse amount” of tickets remains available on the A’s official ticketing website through MLB. Only “a few single seats” are open in the lower levels of the stadium, while seats in the upper level are $60, plus “a minimum of $15 in extra fees.” Simonds noted that the secondary ticket market still has “plenty of seats” available, though many are being sold “at a significant markup.” The “get-in price” appears to be around $55 -- before fees -- for upper-level seats. Simonds wrote that it “doesn’t appear” the upper-level sections out past center field at the Coliseum -- dubbed “Mount Davis” -- will be open to fans for the game. However, if demand for the game keeps rising, the organization could “choose to free up an extra 10,000 or so seats in Mount Davis,” increasing the stadium’s total capacity to over 55,000 (NBCSPORTSBAYAREA.com, 6/24).
