Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever one again delivered WNBA audience records for both ESPN and ION over the weekend. The Fever’s third game of the season against the Chicago Sky on Sunday afternoon (4pm ET tip) drew 2.3 million viewers on ESPN, marking the best WNBA game in 23 years (the third time this season that superlative has been hit). The number is still not among the top 10 WNBA games all-time (each of those were from the early years of the league). Fever-Sky passes the 2.25 million that CBS drew two weekends ago for the same matchup. In a similar window on Sunday, Fever-Sky was just below what ABC drew for Tennessee-Texas A&M in Game 2 of the men’s College World Series (2.7 million). Fever-Sky did top what ESPN drew for Mets-Cubs on “Sunday Night Baseball” (1.6 million).

ION also drew its best WNBA audience on record on Friday night with Fever and the Atlanta Dream. That game drew 1.2 million viewers as part of the WNBA doubleheader on the broadcast net.
