WWE bringing top three annual events to Lucas Oil Stadium in future years

WWE has signed a unique agreement with the Indiana Sports Corp. that will see Lucas Oil Stadium host the company’s three top events -- WrestleMania, SummerSlam and the Royal Rumble -- in the future. Next year’s Royal Rumble will be held at the Colts’ home stadium on Feb. 1; WrestleMania and SummerSlam will be held in subsequent years.

A source, while not disclosing specific deal points, said that the deal includes the largest site fee ever for both the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania. Additionally, WWE will take other programming and events throughout the state through the course of the deal. Indianapolis last hosted WrestleMania in 1992 at the old Hoosier Dome, while SummerSlam was held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in 2008. It has never hosted the Royal Rumble.
