Marketing and Sponsorship

Marketplace Roundup

In Chicago, Brandon Dupre reported Zayed Law Offices, a Chicago personal injury trial law firm, has signed a three-year deal with MLS club Chicago Fire that will “include game day advertisements and a halftime sponsorship.” The firm will also become the presenting sponsor of Chicago Fire Fan Appreciation Night. Fans will “see the firm’s signage on tunnel covers, branded tarps on entryways, concourse TV ads, and LED signage at Soldier Field, as well as appearances on video board graphics throughout the match.” The firm will also appear at times on its website and newsletter (CRAIN’S CHICAGO BUSINESS, 6/20).

IT’S BREAKFAST: In Philadelphia, Gabriela Carroll noted at the Cannes Lions festival, Chiefs TE Travis Kelce and former NFLer Jason Kelce "shared more information about their new cereal collaboration with General Mills." The brothers revealed that it is “going to be a mix of their favorite cereals: Jason’s Reese’s Puffs, Travis’ Cap’n Crunch, and Lucky Charms.” Travis insisted that the cereal “would be healthy ‘whether you want to believe me or not,’" saying that he had “eaten it the entire day of their commercial shoot and didn’t get sick” (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 6/20).

EVERYONE’S STYLE: VARIETY’s Anna Tingley wrote Ralph Lauren’s official uniforms for Team USA Olympics “may be the tipping point for the final stragglers that have yet to give into the fashion world’s insistence that prep is back.” Tingley added between the Opening Ceremony’s “spiffy, cropped jeans, the Closing Ceremony’s fun moto-style jackets with playful patchwork and the Villagewear assortment of white cotton shorts, there is something for everyone -- no matter their prep comfort” (VARIETY, 6/20).
