Rickwood Field has been featured in several major movies:

■ “Cobb” (1994): The real Ty Cobb played an exhibition game at Rickwood. The movie about his life, starring Tommy Lee Jones, included several scenes at the ballpark.

■ “Soul of the Game” (1995): The climactic scene in this HBO movie about Satchel Paige (Delroy Lindo), Josh Gibson (Mykelti Williamson) and Jackie Robinson (Blair Underwood) was among those shot at Rickwood.

■ “42” (2013): This Jackie Robinson biopic included several early scenes at Rickwood depicting Robinson (Chadwick Boseman) playing for the Kansas City Monarchs.
