Site-Specific IDBEA Information

Students enrolled at the study away sites have collaborated with site staff on a project to collect indentity-based resources and articles intended to help inform students on the culture and climate in the city, and share opportunites at the NYU center.

Before You Go

NYU is committed to building a culture that respects and embraces inclusion, diversity, belonging, and equity. Students and faculty have access to a variety of resources based on the New York campus. Learn more about NYU resources here.

Global Equity Fellowship

The NYU Global Equity Fellowship is a semester-long opportunity to put your leadership, scholarship, IDBEA understanding, and community building skills into practice on a global scale. In partnership with the Office of Global Inclusion, Student Affairs, and the Changemaker Center, we seek to empower and equip you to advance IDBEA, to be a liaison for marginalized communities, and to grow as global leaders. Learn more about the Global Equity Fellowship here.

IDBEA Liaisons

Each Global location selects a staff member to assist with all things related to identity, diversity, belonging, equity, inclusion, and accessibility at that site. Liaisons create programming, provide support to students, and connect them with appropriate local resources. Liaisons are engaged in ongoing training and dialogue with colleagues in NYU’s Office of Global Inclusion and the Division of Student Affairs to learn and understand how best to support students who are navigating their identities in a new culture. Students can contact liaisons to discuss any IDBEA-related issue and receive information on how to get involved with IDBEA topics or student groups.

RealTalk: IDBEA Student Panels

Hear from students who have returned from study away about their perspectives on personal identity in a new location and culture.  These panels are a collaboration between the Office of Global Programs, the Global Center for Spiritual Life (GCSL), NYU LGBTQ+ Center, Center for Multicultural Education and Programs (CMEP), Division of Student Affairs (SA), and The Moses Center for Student Accesibility.
