Six law enforcers killed in drug cartel’s roadside bombing trap as violence spreads in Mexico

A coordinated series of roadway bomb blasts in western Mexico, which officials said were a trap organised by a drug cartel, killed six police officers and prosecutors’ agents.

The attack is the latest example of the increasingly military-style challenge posed by the country’s drug lords.
