The “Holy Grail of shipwrecks” is set to be recovered from the bottom of the ocean – along with its treasures, which are believed to be worth up to €19bn in today’s money.

The Colombian government said the San Jose, which was sunk by the Royal Navy in 1708 off the port of Cartagena, would be recovered as a matter of urgency.
