New era dawns in South Africa as ANC is forced to seek coalition deal

Final election results in South Africa have confirmed no party won a majority as the ruling ANC party suffered its worst defeat in30 years.

President and ANC leader Cyril Ramaphosa immediately urged parties to overcome their differences and find “common ground” to form the first national coalition government in the country’s young democracy.
