A major Russian missile attack on Ukraine kills at least 20 people and hits a children's hospital
A major Russian missile attack across Ukraine killed at least 20 people and injured more than 50, officials say. One missile hit a large children’s hospital in the capital, Kyiv, where emergency crews searched rubble for casualties. Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said apartment buildings and public infrastructure were targeted, in five Ukrainian cities, using 40 missiles of different types. It comes as the new Defence Secretary John Healey met with the Ukrainian President in Kyiv in Ukraine over the weekend…pledging to provide extra weapons to and fast-track efforts to deliver previously committed military support.More artillery and 90 Brimstone missiles will be included in the new package announced during his trip. Russia denied targeting civilian infrastructure, insisting the strikes had been aimed at military facilities.
