An Irish actor is looking to shake up the Love Island Malta villa after entering as a bombshell.

Sean Jenkins (25), who has been living in the Mediterranean island of Malta for the last three years, is the latest edition to the show’s second series.

Jenkins, known to friends as ‘Jenko’ has been working as an actor and in digital marketing and is the only Irish person on the show.

Before entering the villa, he said: “My type is blonde, petite, but I suppose at the end of the day a pretty girl is a pretty girl.”

He said that he is looking for someone who is “cute”, “kind”, “honest”, “caring” and “confident”.

"A girl that is in touch with her feminine side is really sexy,” he told cameras in his introductory video before entering the villa.

“Shout out to my future kids, this is how I met your mother,” he added.

The southside Dubliner has links to CBC Monkstown Park, a private school near Dún Laoghaire, according to The Sunday World.

He went to college in Atlantic Theological University in Galway, where he did a degree in Applied Freshwater and Marine Biology.

He then went on to work for Apple in Galway as a technical support advisor before moving back to Dublin to become a freelance writer.

It is understood he lives in the St Paul’s area in Malta and completed college courses in Digital Marketing, as well as Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies.

He works as a Customer Success Manager with Social Discovery Ventures in Malta but he is also an aspiring actor.

Due to just entering the villa with another female bombshell Henrika, Jenkins was exempt from the public vote, which saw fans select their favourite and most popular boys and girls.

The Maltese version of the hugely-popular British TV show Love Island, started in May 2023 and finished a month later with the winners Allen Piscopo and Chelsea Bagnall-Falzon claiming the €20,000 cash prize.

The first season saw almost a third of the country – 160,000 people – tuning in to watch the first episode.

The latest series, featuring Jenkins, started on May 19 and is presented by Danish-Maltese singer-songwriter Yazmin Zoe.

It remains to be seen in the next elimination how the Irish man will fare with Maltese fans as he looks to both find love and get his hands on the €20,000 cash prize.
