For a brief moment on social media earlier this week, it appeared as though Nigel Farage being paid £1.5 million (€1.72 million) to appear on a reality show for up to three weeks really was up there with the world’s worst atrocities.

People took to Twitter and Instagram in their droves to protest about the deeply divisive former politician being offered an opportunity, and cashola galore, to eat kangaroo anus and hang out with Britney Spears’ sister on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here!.
