Cork native Brian Barry Murphy quits Manchester City role after underage title success

Irish coach Brian Barry Murphy is looking for a new challenge away from the Etihad Stadium as his exit from his role with Manchester City has been confirmed.

The Cork native has been on the staff with the Premier League champions since 2021, managing their Elite Development Squad and he was tasked with feeding academy graduates into the first team under Pep Guardiola, but City today stated that Barry Murphy had moved on. Former Cork City player Barry Murphy earlier had a spell as manager of Rochdale.
