It was another busy evening in the League of Ireland, with Shelbourne consolidating their lead at the top of the Premier Division as their draw at Drogheda United coincided with Derry City’s defeat to Sligo Rovers.

Shamrock Rovers claimed a valuable win over Dundalk, while Stephen Kenny’s St Pat’s suffered another defeat, this time away to high-flying Waterford.
