The summer of 1988 changed the face of Irish soccer forever, but I will always have a hint of regret about what might have been.

As we watch the 2024 European Championships unfold in Germany, my mind is drawn back to those incredible few weeks 36 years ago when Ireland arrived on the international stage with a bang.
