Technically, Leinster aren’t trophy-less. Yesterday, they accepted the ‘Irish Shield’ at an empty Aviva Stadium after winning the interpro league within a league (URC), but the lack of fanfare showed what they thought of it.

Having narrowly missed out on the prize that matters most to them two weeks ago, they’re all-in on the URC in their bid to win their first title since 2021 and their first silverware in front of a crowd since they lifted the league title at Celtic Park in 2019.
