For many of Ireland’s Paris-bound Olympians, this is the final send-off – a chance to pit their talents against international fields in front of a partisan home crowd.
Tonight’s Cork City Sports is the 70th edition of the fabled meeting and it should be a decent one, with several household names of Irish athletics – Phil Healy, Sarah Lavin, Sophie Becker – sharpening their form ahead of the big one.
