Golfers Leona Maguire and Stephanie Meadow have confirmed qualification for their third Olympics.

The race to Paris concluded on Sunday at the KPMG Women’s PGA, the third women’s major of the season.

The International Golf Federation uses the Rolex Rankings to create its Olympic ranking list.

The top 15 players in the world are eligible for Paris, with a limit of four players from any given country.

The remainder of the 60-strong Olympic field comes straight from the rankings, with a maximum of two eligible players from each country that does not already have two or more players in the top 15.

For the first time, no country will have four representatives in the women’s golf tournament which runs in Paris from August 7-10.

Maguire was 32nd in the rankings with Meadow 134th. The USA’s three representatives in Paris, Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu and Rose Zhang, were first, second and ninth in the rankings.

In 2016 at the inaugural Olympic golf tournament, Maguire finished 21st and Meadow was 31st.

Three years ago in Tokyo, Meadow had an outstanding tournament taking seventh spot while Maguire was 23rd.
