James Califf was one of the sardines of Inniskeen, wedged cheek-by-jowl last Sunday on the terrace, reluctant to even pivot for fear of losing their line of sight on the momentous events unfolding below.

“You couldn’t turn sideways, you were so packed in,” he laughs. “At the end, it was absolute carnage. A serious, serious buzz. It was everything you’d expect. A brilliant day.”
