August Bank Holiday Sunday. Cork had won the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship.

The night was young. At midnight, Molly Lynch slipped off to bed. She was up early the following morning. Heading for the Cooley Mountains and the Poc Fada. She duly won the M Donnelly All-Ireland Poc Fada title for the third year in-a-row.
