Wicklow and Wexford communities honour late centenarian Sean Moore - ‘one of life’s gentlemen’

Family, friends and neighbours from both sides of the Wicklow-Wexford border gathered in Carnew on Tuesday morning to honour the rich and well-lived life of centenarian Sean Moore, who died on Saturday, two months after his 100th birthday.
Born on May 2, 1924, in Mullinrae, Wexford, Sean was the second eldest of 11 children (three of whom died in infancy) born to parents Annie Cullen of Lambstown, Killurin, and Patrick Joseph Moore of Buckstown. Sadly, Annie died due to complications from childbirth when Sean was just eight years old.
