How did Maeve Madden start her business? What did she learn from dancing with Michael Flatley? And made her change direction and take a risk?

On this week’s episode of Real Health, I was joined by global Fitness influencer and founder of the Queens don’t quit community, Maeve Madden.

Maeve’s fitness journey began young as she danced competitively until she was eighteen years old. Then she began auditioning for professional dance shows and that is how she ended up dancing with Michael Flatley. Madden danced professionally for two and a half years before disaster struck.

The Irish dancer was in a car accident that meant she had to take a couple of months off. Following the accident, the insta-star changed direction: “I decided that I would go to it wasn't severe, but I did injure myself to the point where I couldn't go on tour and was going to have to take a couple of months off. And I decided to move to London and go to university” she said.

The Newry native chose to study international business and then teaching but found both weren’t her passion. When I asked how she grew her business, the Down-born influencer said “I decided to take a gap year when I finished university and that was when I really got back into fitness. Social media began and I started posting small clips, but I wasn't qualified. So I decided to sign up for an eight-week nutrition course. Then I started training some clients and it just grew from there”.
