I was beginning to think I would never get a chance to go. Skiing, that is. Somehow, I missed this becoming ‘a thing’ for people in Ireland, only copping on when all my friends had been through their absolute beginner stages, and were fairly comfortable on the slopes.

I never wanted to tag along and be the hopeless one everyone had to wait for. After all, who has time on holidays to be harnessed to someone hopeless?
