Istanbul is the hair transplant capital of the world, a place where bald men flock for follicular reforestation.

Surgeons in the city perform around 100,000 transplants a year, resulting in Turkish Airlines being known as Turkish Hairlines. Globally, the hair transplant market grew from $5.94bn (€5.46bn) in 2022 to $7.24bn (€6.6bn) in 2023 — an increase of almost 22pc.
