Women with doctorates who undergo fertility treatment are more than three times more likely to have a baby compared with those with only primary school education who have the procedure.

Furthermore, women in the highest income group were twice as likely to have a baby after treatment than those in the lowest, according to new research presented to the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology annual meeting in Amsterdam.
