New junior transport minister James Lawless says he will strengthen the NCT in a bid to reduce road deaths
Public transport and road repairs will be other priorities for the new Junior Minister for Transport
James Lawless, Minister of State at the Department of Transport and at the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications.
In 2016, newly elected TD James Lawless told Micheál Martin that he had a keen interest in transport policy, telling the Fianna Fáil leader that he was a “long-suffering” commuter.
Now the Kildare North TD will have a chance to decide the State’s transport policies himself following his appointment as a junior minister at the Department of Transport. It’s a promotion the Wexford-born politician had long been waiting for.
