David Fagan, deputy principal of St Laurence O’Toole’s National School in inner-city Dublin, is concerned with how children are consuming energy drinks in the morning, then “crashing” later in the day.

“When we do the morning supervision, sometimes you see kids with an energy drink at 8.34am and it’s not the best start of the day for the kids,” Mr Fagan said.
