Teachers say school curriculums are being ‘dumbed-down’

Teachers and academics have questioned the future impacts of “dumbed-down” school curriculums and how changes are made to Leaving and Junior Cert subjects.

A senior UCD lecturer said issues flagged by science teachers before Leaving Cert biology, chemistry and physics changes were made show the agricultural science curriculum introduced five years ago must be revisited.
