Normally at this time of the year, weather is not a hot topic for crop production. However, this year the next week or 10 days are critical in deciding whether to increase, maintain or decrease the tillage area.

Land has been sodden for three months, but the best cure for wet land is a number of weeks of a dry, biting east wind. If we get that this month, there is a possibility winter cereal seed can be planted in late January into February.
